I have not really used this type of motivation before. Lately, I have seen several articles on making family and personal vision statements.
Last year, I did finally make one for me, " Let me be a channel of thy peace", from a song I heard.
In today's RS & Priesthood lesson, (Lesson 1 - George A Smith), they list his 11 creed statements he tried to live by. They were awesome! I hope you all got to read them. If not, check them out. How about, "I would not be an enemy to any soul." or :I would not knowingly wound the feelings of any, not eve one, who may have wronged me.." "I would live with the masses and help to solve their problems..."
I know the Ketchesons have a family motto. I think having a family mission statement could be a good idea.
As for a personal one, I think I will make one for each year, and write it at the beginning of my journal, and focus on that all year.
