This has been pretty big news in AZ and now I saw this in Wikipedia today. Interesting article. I also found it odd that beekeepers make more money renting their bees for pollination than for honey. Makes sense, but never thought of it.

yes, interesting. I believe it is the pesticides. when I was young, there were honey bees on every clover and dandelion in the lawns. now, in places like we live, first of all, there are hardly any weeds. secondly, I hardly ever see a regular old honey bee. only a few here and there.
